سورة الفجر
Surah Name: Al-Fajr Meaning: The Dawn
Wa(a)lfajr(i) By the dawn. (89:1) |
Walayalin Aaashr(in) And by the ten nights. (89:2) |
Wa(al)shshafAAi wa(a)lwatr(i) And by the even and the odd. (89:3) |
Wa(a)llayli itha yasr(i) And by night when it departs. (89:4) |
هَلْ فِي ذَلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِي حِجْرٍ Hal fee thalika qasamun lithee hijr(in) Indeed in them is an oath for man of sense. (89:5) |
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka biAAad(in) Did you not see how your Rabb-SWT dealt with the 'Ad? (89:6) |
Irama thati alAAimad(i) And the people of many-columned Iram. (89:7) |
الَّتِي لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِي الْبِلَادِ Allatee lam yukhlaq mithluha fee albilad(i) The like of which was not built in the cities. (89:8) |
وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ Wathamooda allatheena jaboo a(l)ssakhra bi(a)lwad(i) And with Thamud who hewed out rocks in the vale? (89:9) |
WafirAAawna thee alawtad(i) And with Pharaoh, owner of the stakes. (89:10) |
الَّذِينَ طَغَوْا فِي الْبِلَادِ Allatheena taghaw fee albilad(i) Who all waxed exorbitant in the cities. (89:11) |
فَأَكْثَرُوا فِيهَا الْفَسَادَ Faaktharoo feeha alfasad(a) So they multiplied corruption therein. (89:12) |
فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ Fasabba AAalayhim rabbuka sawta Aaathab(in) So your-SAAW Rabb-SWT inflicted on them the scourge of His-SWT chastisement. (89:13) |
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ Inna rabbaka labi(a)lmirsad(i) Verily your-SAAW Rabb-SWT is in an ambuscade. (89:14) |
Faamma alinsanu itha ma ibtalahu rabbuhu faakramahu wanaAAAAamahu fayaqoolu rabbee akraman(i) As for man, when his Rabb-SWT tries him and honours him, and is bountiful to him, he says: My Rabb-SWT has honoured me. (89:15) |
وَأَمَّا إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَهَانَنِ Waamma itha ma ibtalahu faqadara AAalayhi rizqahu fayaqoolu rabbee ahanan(i) And when his Rabb-SWT tries him and stints unto him his provision, he says: My Rabb-SWT has despised me. (89:16) |
كَلَّا بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ الْيَتِيمَ Kalla bal la tukrimoona alyateem(a) No indeed! But you do not honour the orphan. (89:17) |
وَلَا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ Wala tahaddoona AAala taAAami almiskeen(i) Nor urge upon each other the feeding of the poor. (89:18) |
وَتَأْكُلُونَ التُّرَاثَ أَكْلًا لَّمًّا Watakuloona a(l)tturatha aklan lamma(n) And you devour the inheritance greedily. (89:19) |
وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا Watuhibboona almala hubban jamma(n) And you love riches with exceeding love. (89:20) |
كَلَّا إِذَا دُكَّتِ الْأَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا Kalla itha dukkati alardu dakkan dakka(n) No indeed! When the earth is ground with exceeding grinding. (89:21) |
وَجَاء رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا Wajaa rabbuka wa(a)lmalaku saffan saffa(n) And comes your Rabb-SWT and the angels, rank on rank. (89:22) |
وَجِيءَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنسَانُ وَأَنَّى لَهُ الذِّكْرَى Wajeea yawmaithin bijahannama yawmaithin yatathakkaru alinsanu waanna lahu a(l)ththikra And Hell that Day is brought near. Man on that Day shall remember, but how can remembrance avail him then? (89:23) |
يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِي Yaqoolu ya laytanee qaddamtu lihayatee Man will say: Would that I had sent before for this life of mine. (89:24) |
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌ Fayawmaithin la yuAAaththibu AAathabahu ahad(un) So on that Day none shall torment any like His-SWT torment. (89:25) |
وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُ أَحَدٌ Wala yoothiqu wathaqahu ahad(un) Nor shall bind any like His-SWT bond. (89:26) |
يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ Ya ayyatuha a(l)nnafsu almutmainna(tu) O’ you peaceful soul! (89:27) |
ارْجِعِي إِلَى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً IrjiAAee ila rabbiki radiyatan mardiyya(tan) Return unto your Rabb-SWT , well-pleased and well-pleasing. (89:28) |
Faodkhulee fee Aaibadee Enter you among My-SWT righteous bondmen. (89:29) |
Wa(o)dkhulee jannatee And enter you My-SWT Garden. (89:30) |
