Surah Name: At-Takweer Meaning: The Winding Round
Itha a(l)shshamsu kuwwirat When the sun shall be wound round. (81:1) |

Waitha a(l)nnujoomu inkadarat And the stars shall dart down. (81:2) |
|||||
Waitha aljibalu suyyirat And when the mountains shall be made to pass away. (81:3) |
|||||
Waitha alAAisharu Aauttilat And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned. (81:4) |
|||||
Waitha alwuhooshu hushirat And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together. (81:5) |
|||||
Waitha albiharu sujjirat And when the seas shall be filled. (81:6) |
|||||
Waitha a(l)nnufoosu zuwwijat And when the souls shall be paired. (81:7) |
|||||
وَإِذَا الْمَوْؤُودَةُ سُئِلَتْ Waitha almawoodatu suilat And when the girl buried alive shall be questioned. (81:8) |
|||||
Biayyi thanbin qutilat For what sin she was slain. (81:9) |
|||||
Waitha a(l)ssuhufu nushirat And when the Writs shall be laid open. (81:10) |
|||||
Waitha a(l)ssamao kushitat And when the sky shall be stripped off. (81:11) |
|||||
Waitha aljaheemu suAAAAirat And when the Scorch shall be set ablaze. (81:12) |
|||||
Waitha aljannatu ozlifat And when the Garden shall be brought near. (81:13) |
|||||
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا أَحْضَرَتْ AAalimat nafsun ma ahdarat Then every soul shall know what has presented. (81:14) |
|||||
Fala oqsimu bi(a)lkhunnas(i) I-SWT swear by the receding stars. (81:15) |
|||||
Aljawari alkunnas(i) Moving swiftly and hiding themselves. (81:16) |
|||||
Wa(a)llayli itha AaasAAas(a) And by the night when it departs. (81:17) |
|||||
Wa(al)ssubhi itha tanaffas(a) And by the morning when it shines forth. (81:18) |
|||||
إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ Innahu laqawlu rasoolin kareem(in) Verily it is Word brought by an honoured Messenger-SW. (81:19) |
|||||
ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ Thee quwwatin AAinda thee alAAarshi makeen(in) Owner of strength, and of established dignity with the Rabb-SWT of the Throne. (81:20) |
|||||
MutaAAin thamma ameen(in) Obeyed one there, as also trusty. (81:21) |
|||||
Wama sahibukum bimajnoon(in) Nor is your Companion distracted (81:22) |
|||||
وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ بِالْأُفُقِ الْمُبِينِ Walaqad raahu bi(a)lofuqi almubeen(i) Assuredly he has seen him in open horizon. (81:23) |
|||||
وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ Wama huwa AAala alghaybi bidaneen(in) And he is not a tenacious concealer of the Unseen. (81:24) |
|||||
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَانٍ رَجِيمٍ Wama huwa biqawli shaytanin rajeem(in) Nor is it the word of the accursed Satan. (81:25) |
