سورة الدخان
Surah Name: Ad-Dukhan Meaning: The Smoke
وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِينِ Walaqad najjayna banee israeela mina alAAathabi almuheen(i) Assuredly We-SWT saved the Children of Israil from a degrading scourge. (44:30) |
مِن فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ Min firAAawna innahu kana AAaliyan mina almusrifeen(a) From the Pharaoh, verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. (44:31) |
وَلَقَدِ اخْتَرْنَاهُمْ عَلَى عِلْمٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ Walaqadi ikhtarnahum AAala AAilmin AAala alAAalameen(a) And assuredly We-SWT chose them with knowledge purposely above the worlds. (44:32) |
وَآتَيْنَاهُم مِّنَ الْآيَاتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَاء مُّبِينٌ Waataynahum mina alayati ma feehi balaon mubeen(un) And We-SWT vouchsafed to them Signs in which was a manifest favour from Us-SWT . (44:33) |
Inna haolai layaqooloon(a) Verily these! They say. (44:34) |
إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا الْأُولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ In hiya illa mawtatuna aloola wama nahnu bimunshareen(a) Nothing is there but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. (44:35) |
فَأْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ Fatoo biabaina in kuntum sadiqeen(a) Bring back then our fathers, if you speak the truth. (44:36) |
Ahum khayrun am qawmu tubbaAAin wa(a)llatheena min qablihim ahlaknahum innahum kanoo mujrimeen(a) Are these better or the People of Tubb’a and those before them? We-SWT destroyed them, they were culprits. (44:37) |
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ Wama khalaqna a(l)ssamawati wa(a)larda wama baynahuma laAAibeen(a) And We-SWT did not create the heavens and the earth and what is in-between in sport. (44:38) |
مَا خَلَقْنَاهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ Ma khalaqnahuma illa bi(a)lhaqqi walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoon(a) We-SWT did not create them save with a purpose, yet most of them know not. (44:39) |
إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ مِيقَاتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ Inna yawma alfasli meeqatuhum ajmaAAeen(a) Verily the Day of Decision is the term appointed for all of them. (44:40) |
يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي مَوْلًى عَن مَّوْلًى شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ Yawma la yughnee mawlan AAan mawlan shayan wala hum yunsaroon(a) A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be succoured. (44:41) |
إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ اللَّهُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ Illa man rahima Allahu innahu huwa alAAazeezu a(l)rraheem(u) Save those on whom Allaah-SWT will have Mercy. Verily He-SWT ! He-SWT is the Mighty, the Merciful. (44:42) |
