Surah Name: Saad Meaning: Saad
Sad wa(a)lqurani thee a(l)ththikr(i) Sad. By the Quran full of admonition. (38:1) |
بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي عِزَّةٍ وَشِقَاقٍ Bali allatheena kafaroo fee AAizzatin washiqaq(in) Verily those who disbelieve are in vainglory and schism. (38:2) |
كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ فَنَادَوْا وَلَاتَ حِينَ مَنَاصٍ Kam ahlakna min qablihim min qarnin fanadaw walata heena manas(in) How many a generation We-SWT have destroyed before them and they cried, but the time to flee was past. (38:3) |
وَعَجِبُوا أَن جَاءهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ وَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا سَاحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ WaAAajiboo an jaahum munthirun minhum waqala alkafiroona hatha sahirun kaththab(un) And they marvel that there should come to them a warner from amongst them, And the infidels say: This is magic and a lie. (38:4) |
أَجَعَلَ الْآلِهَةَ إِلَهًا وَاحِدًا إِنَّ هَذَا لَشَيْءٌ عُجَابٌ AjaAAala alalihata ilahan wahidan inna hatha lashayon AAujab(un) Does He-SWT make the gods, One Rabb-SWT ? Surely that is a thing extraordinary. (38:5) |
Wa(i)ntalaqa almalao minhum ani imshoo wa(i)sbiroo AAala alihatikum inna hathalashayon yurad(u) The chiefs among them departed saying: Go and persevere in your gods; surely this is a thing designed. (38:6) |
مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَذَا فِي الْمِلَّةِ الْآخِرَةِ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا اخْتِلَاقٌ Ma samiAAna bihatha fee almillati alakhirati in hatha illa ikhtilaq(un) We-SWT have not heard of it in the later faith; this is nothing but an invention. (38:7) |
Aonzila AAalayhi a(l)ththikru min baynina bal hum fee shakkin min thikree bal lamma yathooqoo AAathab(i) What has, out of us, been sent down upon him the admonition? Yea! They are in doubt concerning My-SWT admonition. Yea! They have not yet tasted My-SWT chastisement. (38:8) |
أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّكَ الْعَزِيزِ الْوَهَّابِ Am AAindahum khazainu rahmati rabbika alAAazeezi alwahhab(i) Or is it that with them there are treasures of the Mercy of your Rabb-SWT , the Bestower? (38:9) |
أَمْ لَهُم مُّلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَلْيَرْتَقُوا فِي الْأَسْبَابِ Am lahum mulku a(l)ssamawati wa(a)lardi wama baynahuma falyartaqoo fee alasbab(i) Or is it that theirs is the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is in-between? If so, let them ascend by steps. (38:10) |
جُندٌ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهْزُومٌ مِّنَ الْأَحْزَابِ Jundun ma hunalika mahzoomun mina alahzab(i) Here there is a host of the confederates only to be defeated. (38:11) |
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو الْأَوْتَادِ Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin waAAadun wafirAAawnu thoo alawtad(i) Before them there have belied the people of Nuh-AS and the 'Ad and the Pharaoh, the owner of the stakes. (38:12) |
وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ أُوْلَئِكَ الْأَحْزَابُ Wathamoodu waqawmu lootin waashabu alaykati olaika alahzab(u) And the Thamud, and the people of Lut-AS, and the dwellers of the wood, these were the confederates. (38:13) |
إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ In kullun illa kaththaba a(l)rrusula fahaqqa AAiqab(i) There was not one but did not belie the Messengers; so My-SWT wrath was just. (38:14) |
