سورة يس
Surah Name: Ya-Seen Meaning: Ya Seen
وَمَنْ نُعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِي الْخَلْقِ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ Waman nuAAammirhu nunakkishu fee alkhalqi afala yaAAqiloon(a) And whom We-SWT grant long life We-SWT reverse him in creation; why then they do not reflect? (36:68) |
وَمَا عَلَّمْنَاهُ الشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنبَغِي لَهُ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْآنٌ مُّبِينٌ Wama AAallamnahu a(l)shshiAAra wama yanbaghee lahu in huwa illa thikrun waquranun mubeen(un) And We-SWT have not taught him-SW poetry, nor does it become him-SW. This is but an Admonition and a luminous Recital. (36:69) |
لِيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّا وَيَحِقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ Liyunthira man kana hayyan wayahiqqa alqawlu AAala alkafireen(a) In order that it may warn him who is alive, and that the sentence may be justified on the infidels. (36:70) |
Awalam yaraw anna khalaqna lahum mimma AAamilat aydeena anAAaman fahum laha malikoon(a) Do they not see that We-SWT have created or them, of what Our-SWT hands have created, cattle, so that they are their owners. (36:71) |
وَذَلَّلْنَاهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ Wathallalnaha lahum faminha rakoobuhum waminha yakuloon(a) And to them We-SWT have subdued so that some of them they have for riding. And on some they feed? (36:72) |
وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَمَشَارِبُ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ Walahum feeha manafiAAu wamasharibu afala yashkuroon(a) And they have there from other benefits and drinks. Will they not then give thanks? (36:73) |
وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لَعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ Wa(i)ttakhathoo min dooni Allahi alihatan laAAallahum yunsaroon(a) And they have taken besides Allah-SWT gods, hoping that they may perchance be succoured. (36:74) |
لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌ مُّحْضَرُونَ La yastateeAAoona nasrahum wahum lahum jundun muhdaroon(a) They are not able to give them succour, whereas they shall be against them host brought forward. (36:75) |
فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ Fala yahzunka qawluhum inna naAAlamu ma yusirroona wama yuAAlinoon(a) So let not their speech grieve you-SW. Verily We-SWT ! We-SWT know what they conceal and what they disclose. (36:76) |
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الْإِنسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ Awalam yara alinsanu anna khalaqnahu min nutfatin faitha huwa khaseemun mubeen(un) Does not man see that We-SWT have created him of sperm? Yet lo! he is a manifest opponent. (36:77) |
وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِيَ خَلْقَهُ قَالَ مَنْ يُحْيِي الْعِظَامَ وَهِيَ رَمِيمٌ (36:78) Wadaraba lana mathalan wanasiya khalqahu qala man yuhyee alAAithama wahiya rameem(un) And he recounts for Us-SWT a similitude and forgets his creation. He says: Who shall quicken the bones after they are decayed? (36:78) |
قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا الَّذِي أَنشَأَهَا أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ Qul yuhyeeha allathee anshaaha awwala marratin wahuwa bikulli khalqin AAaleem(un) Say you-SW: He-SWT shall quicken them Who-SWT brought them forth for the first time. And He-SWT is the Knower of every manner of creation. (36:79) |
الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الشَّجَرِ الْأَخْضَرِ نَارًا فَإِذَا أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ Allathee jaAAala lakum mina a(l)shshajari alakhdari naran faitha antum minhu tooqidoon(a) Who gives you fire out of the green tree, and lo! You kindle therewith. (36:80) |
Awalaysa allathee khalaqa a(l)ssamawati wa(a)larda biqadirin AAala an yakhluqa mithlahum bala wahuwa alkhallaqu alAAaleem(u) Is not He-SWT Who created the heavens and the earth for the first time able to create the like of them? Yea! He-SWT is the Supreme Creator, the Knower. (36:81) |
إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُ إِذَا أَرَادَ شَيْئًا أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ Innama amruhu itha arada shayan an yaqoola lahu kun fayakoon(u) His-SWT affair, when He-SWT intends a thing, is only that He-SWT says to it: Be, and it is. (36:82) |
فَسُبْحَانَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ Fasubhana allathee biyadihi malakootu kulli shayin wailayhi turjaAAoon(a) Wherefore hallowed be He-SWT , in Whose Hand is the governance of everything, and to Whom you shall be returned. (36:83) |
