bismillah

لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُو اللَّهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا

Laqad kana lakum fee rasooli Allahi oswatun hasanatun liman kana yarjoo Allaha wa(a)lyawma alakhira wathakara Allaha katheera(n)

Assuredly there has been an excellent pattern, for you in the Messenger-SW of Allah-SWT , for him who hopes in Allah-SWT and the Last Day and remembers Allah-SWT much.

(33:21)

وَلَمَّا رَأَى الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الْأَحْزَابَ قَالُوا هَذَا مَا وَعَدَنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَصَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَمَا زَادَهُمْ إِلَّا إِيمَانًا وَتَسْلِيمًا

Walamma raa almuminoona alahzaba qaloo hatha ma waAAadana Allahu warasooluhu wasadaqa Allahu warasooluhu wama zadahum illa eemanan watasleema(n)

And when the faithful saw the confederates, they said: This is what Allah-SWT and His-SWT Messenger-SW had promised us, and Allah-SWT and His-SWT Messenger-SW had spoken the truth. It only increased in the faithful belief and self-surrender

(33:22)

مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَى نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلًا

Mina almumineena rijalun sadaqoo ma AAahadoo Allaha AAalayhi faminhum man qada nahbahu waminhum man yantathiru wama baddaloo tabdeela(n)

Of the faithful are men who have fulfilled their covenant with Allah-SWT . Some of them have performed their vow, and some of them are waiting, and they have not changed in the least.

(33:23)

لِيَجْزِيَ اللَّهُ الصَّادِقِينَ بِصِدْقِهِمْ وَيُعَذِّبَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ إِن شَاء أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

Liyajziya Allahu a(l)ssadiqeena bisidqihim wayuAAaththiba almunafiqeena in shaa aw yatooba AAalayhim inna Allaha kana ghafooran raheema(n)

All this happened in order that Allah-SWT may recompense the truthful for their truth, and may punish the hypocrites if He-SWT would or may relent toward them. Verily Allah-SWT is Forgiving, Merciful.

(33:24)

وَرَدَّ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِغَيْظِهِمْ لَمْ يَنَالُوا خَيْرًا وَكَفَى اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الْقِتَالَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ قَوِيًّا عَزِيزًا

Waradda Allahu allatheena kafaroo bighaythihim lam yanaloo khayran wakafa Allahu almumineena alqitala wakana Allahu qawiyyan AAazeeza(n)

Allah-SWT drove back those who disbelieved in their rage, they obtained no advantage; and Allah-SWT sufficed for the faithful in the fighting. Allah-SWT is ever Strong, Mighty.

(33:25)

وَأَنزَلَ الَّذِينَ ظَاهَرُوهُم مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مِن صَيَاصِيهِمْ وَقَذَفَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الرُّعْبَ فَرِيقًا تَقْتُلُونَ وَتَأْسِرُونَ فَرِيقًا

Waanzala allatheena thaharoohum min ahli alkitabi min sayaseehim waqathafa fee quloobihimu a(l)rruAAba fareeqan taqtuloona watasiroona fareeqa(n)

He-SWT brought those of the people of the Book who backed them down from their fortresses and cast terror in their hearts, a part of them you slew, and a part you made captives.

(33:26)

وَأَوْرَثَكُمْ أَرْضَهُمْ وَدِيَارَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ وَأَرْضًا لَّمْ تَطَؤُوهَا وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرًا

Waawrathakum ardahum wadiyarahum waamwalahum waardan lam tataooha wakana Allahu AAala kulli shayin qadeera(n)

And He-SWT caused you to inherit their land and their houses and their riches, and the land which you have not trodden, and Allah-SWT is Potent over everything.

(33:27)

SECRETS OF REVELATION:

O’ Believers! For you, there is a perfect example of practical life in the noble personage of the Holy Prophet-SW. See how bravely and resolutely he-SW fought and confronted the forces of infidelity and evil!

 

Constant Zikr

Yet to follow his example will only be the lot of those who live for the Akhirah and remember Allah-SWT much. It means that apart from other benefits, constant Zikr, also inculcates the spirit of Jihad, the enthusiasm for martyrdom and the conformity to the Holy Prophet-SW’s practice. The very goal of this life is the success in the Akhirah.

 

The Pragmatic Companions-RAU Practised Constant Zikr

The Companions-RAU, whose auspicious physical selves also remained constantly engaged in Allah-SWT’s Zikr, were least bothered by the onslaught of the infidel forces. Rather, they rejoiced that this indeed was the day promised by Allah-SWT and His-SWT Prophet-SW and the prophecies made by the latter regarding the fate of the infidels and the victory of the believers, were sure to come true. The moments of hardship reinforced their faith and their spirit of surrender to the Will and Purpose of Allah-SWT .

 

These believers honoured their covenant with Allah-SWT . Some of them fell martyrs as a proof of their sincerity towards the Holy Prophet-SW while those who survived waited impatiently for the honour. They indeed stood fast and remained firm on their words and actions. Such clashes between the truth and the falsehood form the basis for rewarding the truthful and the sincere and at the same time for punishing the hypocrites. Yet if someone gets the capacity to repent,Allaah-SWT accepts it asHe-SWT is extremely Forgiving and Merciful.

 

The infidels bolted away in deep agony for not having achieved the slightest gain. The Muslims did not even have to fight very much, ratherAllaah-SWT sufficed on their behalf. The angels and the chilling storm drove the enemy away. The believers engaged in minor skirmishes only. Surely,Allaah-SWT is the Most Powerful and Prevailing. Once the infidels ran away the Banu Quraizah could no longer fight the Muslim Army. They surrendered and laid down their arms, coming out of their fortresses and bunkers. Many of them were killed while others taken prisoners, according to Shari'ah.

 

This was not the end.Allaah-SWT made Muslim Ummah the conquerors of countries and settlements to which the believers never had an access. Allah-SWT knows that the believers will conquer the far off lands and bring these under the standard of Islam. This is the reward Allah-SWT conferred upon them for their total devotion to the Holy Prophet-SW for He-SWT is All Powerful and can do whatever He-SWT wants. The battle also brought good news of future conquests for the Companions becausc of their conformity to the Holy Prophet-SW with exemplary devotion.
