Surah Name: Al-Hajj Meaning: The Pilgrimage

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ شَيْءٌ عَظِيمٌ Ya ayyuha a(l)nnasu ittaqoo rabbakum inna zalzalata a(l)ssaAAati shayon Aaatheem(un) O mankind! Fear your Rabb-SWT; the quake of the Hour is to be a thing mighty. (22:1) |
Yawma tarawnaha tathhalu kullu murdiAAatin AAamma ardaAAat watadaAAu kullu thati hamlin hamlaha watara a(l)nnasa sukara wama hum bisukara walakinna AAathaba Allahi shadeed(un) The Day when you behold it, every suckling woman shall forsake what she suckles, and every pregnant woman shall lay down her burden; and you shall perceive mankind as drunk, whereas drunk they will be not, but the torment of Allaah-SWT shall be terrible. (22:2) |
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يُجَادِلُ فِي اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيْطَانٍ مَّرِيدٍ Wamina a(l)nnasi man yujadilu fee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wayattabiAAu kulla shaytanin mareed(in) And of mankind is he who disputes respecting Allaah-SWT without knowledge, and follows any devil forward. (22:3) |
كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُ يُضِلُّهُ وَيَهْدِيهِ إِلَى عَذَابِ السَّعِيرِ Kutiba AAalayhi annahu man tawallahu faannahu yudilluhu wayahdeehi ila AAathabi a(l)ssaAAeer(i) Against whom it is prescribed; whosoever befriends him, him he shall lead astray and shall guide him on to the torment of Flame. (22:4) |
Ya ayyuha a(l)nnasu in kuntum fee raybin mina albaAAthi fainna khalaqnakum min turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma min AAalaqatin thumma min mudghatin mukhallaqatin waghayri mukhallaqatin linubayyina lakum wanuqirru fee alarhami ma nashao ila ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum tiflan thumma litablughoo ashuddakum waminkum man yutawaffa waminkum man yuraddu ila arthali alAAumuri likayla yaAAlama min baAAdi AAilmin shayan watara alarda hamidatan faitha anzalna AAalayha almaa ihtazzat warabat waanbatat min kulli zawjin baheej(in) O mankind! if you be in doubt respecting the Resurrection, then know We-SWT have created you of the dust, then of a drop, then of a clot, then of a piece of flesh, fashioned and unfashioned, that We-SWT might manifest to you Our-SWT Power. AndWe-SWT settle into the wombs what We-SWT will for a term determined. Then We-SWT bring you forth as babies, and then We-SWT let you reach your maturity. And of you is he who dies early and of you is he who is brought back to the most abject age, so that after knowing he knows not aught. And you see the earth withered up, and when We-SWT send down on it water, it stirs and swells, and it grows all manner of luxuriant growth. (22:5) |
Thalika bianna Allaha huwa alhaqqu waannahu yuhyee almawta waannahu AAala kulli shayin qadeer(un) That is so, because Allaah-SWT ! He-SWT is the Truth, and He-SWT quickens the dead, and verily He-SWT is Potent over everything. (22:6) |
وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَن فِي الْقُبُورِ Waanna a(l)ssaAAata atiyatun la rayba feeha waanna Allaha yabAAathu man fee alquboor(i) And because the Hour is coming there is no doubt about it and because Allaah-SWT will rise up those who are in the graves. (22:7) |
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يُجَادِلُ فِي اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَلَا هُدًى وَلَا كِتَابٍ مُّنِيرٍ Wamina a(l)nnasi man yujadilu fee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wala hudan wala kitabin muneer(in) And of mankind is he who disputes respecting Allaah-SWT without knowledge or guidance or an illuminating Book. (22:8) |
Thaniya AAitfihi liyudilla AAan sabeeli Allahi lahu fee a(l)ddunya khizyun wanutheequhu yawma alqiyamati AAathaba alhareeq(i) Magnifying himself that he may lead others astray from the way of Allah-SWT; for him shall be humiliation in this world, and on the Day of Judgment We-SWT will make him taste the torment of burning. (22:9) |
ذَلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاكَ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ Thalika bima qaddamat yadaka waanna Allaha laysa bithallamin lilAAabeed(i) That is because of what your hands have sent forth. And verily Allaah-SWT never wrongs His-SWT creatures. (22:10) |
