Surah Name: Taha Meaning: Ta ha
مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَى Minha khalaqnakum wafeeha nuAAeedukum waminha nukhrijukum taratan okhra Of it We-SWT created you and to it We-SWT return you and from it We-SWT bring you forth once again. (20:55) |
وَلَقَدْ أَرَيْنَاهُ آيَاتِنَا كُلَّهَا فَكَذَّبَ وَأَبَى Walaqad araynahu ayatina kullaha fakaththaba waaba And assuredly We-SWT showed him Our-SWT Signs, all of them, but he denied and rejected. (20:56) |
قَالَ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتُخْرِجَنَا مِنْ أَرْضِنَا بِسِحْرِكَ يَا مُوسَى Qala ajitana litukhrijana min ardina bisihrika ya moosa He said: have you come to us that you may drive us out of our land by your magic, Musa-AS? (20:57) |
Falanatiyannaka bisihrin mithlihi fa(i)jAAal baynana wabaynaka mawAAidan la nukhlifuhu nahnu wala anta makanan suwa(n) So we shall confront you with a like magic; so make between us and you an appointment in an open space, which we shall not fail, neither you. (20:58) |
قَالَ مَوْعِدُكُمْ يَوْمُ الزِّينَةِ وَأَن يُحْشَرَ النَّاسُ ضُحًى Qala mawAAidukum yawmu a(l)zzeenati waan yuhshara a(l)nnasu duha(n) Musa-AS said: your appointment is the gala day .And that the people be gathered in the forenoon. (20:59) |
فَتَوَلَّى فِرْعَوْنُ فَجَمَعَ كَيْدَهُ ثُمَّ أَتَى Fatawalla firAAawnu fajamaAAa kaydahu thumma ata Then Pharaoh turned away, devised his stratagem and then he came. (20:60) |
Qala lahum moosa waylakum la taftaroo AAala Allahi kathiban fayushitakum biAAathabin waqad khaba mani iftara Musa-AS said to them: woe unto you! Fabricate not a lie against Allah-SWT, lest He-SWT extirpates you with a torment, and surely, he who fabricates, loses. (20:61) |
فَتَنَازَعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ وَأَسَرُّوا النَّجْوَى FatanazaAAoo amrahum baynahum waasarroo a(l)nnajwa Then they wrangled about their affair among themselves and kept secret their private counsel. (20:62) |
Qaloo in hathani lasahirani yureedani an yukhrijakum min ardikum bisihrihima wayathhaba bitareeqatikumu almuthla They said: verily these two are magicians, intending to drive you forth from your land by their magic and to do away with your superior way. (20:63) |
فَأَجْمِعُوا كَيْدَكُمْ ثُمَّ ائْتُوا صَفًّا وَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْيَوْمَ مَنِ اسْتَعْلَى FaajmiAAoo kaydakum thumma itoo saffan waqad aflaha alyawma mani istaAAla So devise your stratagem and then come in a row. Fortunate today is he who overcomes. (20:64) |
قَالُوا يَا مُوسَى إِمَّا أَن تُلْقِيَ وَإِمَّا أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَى Qaloo ya moosa imma an tulqiya waimma an nakoona awwala man alqa They said: either you cast, or we shall be the first to cast. (20:65) |
Qala bal alqoo faitha hibaluhum waAAisiyyuhum yukhayyalu ilayhi min sihrihim annaha tasAAa He said: nay, cast you down. And lo! Their ropes and their staves, by the magic, made to appear to him as though they were running. (20:66) |
فَأَوْجَسَ فِي نَفْسِهِ خِيفَةً مُّوسَى Faawjasa fee nafsihi kheefatan moosa Then a sort of fear in his mind Musa-AS felt. (20:67) |
قُلْنَا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْأَعْلَى Qulna la takhaf innaka anta alaAAla We-SWT said: have no fear, verily you, you shall be the superior. (20:68) |
Waalqi ma fee yameenika talqaf ma sanaAAoo innama sanaAAoo kaydu sahirin wala yuflihu a(l)ssahiru haythu ata And cast you down what is in your right hand; it shall swallow up what they have wrought. They have only wrought a magician’s stratagem, and the magician does not prosper wherever he comes. (20:69) |
فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدًا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَارُونَ وَمُوسَى Faolqiya a(l)ssaharatu sujjadan qaloo amanna birabbi haroona wamoosa Then the magicians were cast down prostrate. They said: now we believe in the Rabb-SWT of Musa-AS and Harun-AS. (20:70) |
Qala amantum lahu qabla an athana lakum innahu lakabeerukumu allathee AAallamakumu a(l)ssihra falaoqattiAAanna aydiyakum waarjulakum min khilafin walaosallibannakum fee juthooAAi a(l)nnakhli walataAAlamunna ayyuna ashaddu AAathaban waabqa Pharaoh said: what did you believe in Him-SWT before I gave you leave? Surely he is your chief who taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and feet on the opposite sides; and will, surely crucify you on the trunks of the palm-trees; and you will surely know which of us is sterner in torment and more lasting. (20:71) |
Qaloo lan nuthiraka AAala ma jaana mina albayyinati wa(a)llathee fatarana fa(i)qdi ma anta qadin innama taqdee hathihi alhayata a(l)ddunya They said: we shall by no means prefer you over what has come to us of the evidences, and over Him-SWT Who-SWT has created us. So do decree you whatever you shall decree; you can decree only in respect of the life of this world. (20:72) |
Inna amanna birabbina liyaghfira lana khatayana wama akrahtana AAalayhi mina a(l)ssihri wa(A)llahu khayrun waabqa Verily we! We have believed in our Rabb-SWT that He-SWT may forgive us our affairs, and also that to which you have constrained us in the way of magic. And Allah-SWT is the Best and Most Lasting. (20:73) |
إِنَّهُ مَن يَأْتِ رَبَّهُ مُجْرِمًا فَإِنَّ لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيى Innahu man yati rabbahu mujriman fainna lahu jahannama la yamootu feeha wala yahya Verily he who comes to his Rabb-SWT as a culprit, for him is Hell, in which he shall neither die nor live. (20:74) |
وَمَنْ يَأْتِهِ مُؤْمِنًا قَدْ عَمِلَ الصَّالِحَاتِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ لَهُمُ الدَّرَجَاتُ الْعُلَى Waman yatihi muminan qad AAamila a(l)ssalihati faolaika lahumu a(l)ddarajatu alAAula And he who comes to Him-SWT as a believer, and has done righteous deeds, then for them are high ranks. (20:75) |
جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَذَلِكَ جَزَاء مَن تَزَكَّى Jannatu AAadnin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha wathalika jazao man tazakka Gardens everlasting with running streams, abiding therein; that is the reward for him who has purified himself. (20:76) |
