Walaqad jaat rusuluna ibraheema bi(a)lbushra qaloo salaman qala salamun famalabitha an jaa biAAijlin haneeth(in) And assuredly Our-SWT Messengers came to Ibrahim-AS with glad tidings. They said: peace! He said: peace! And soon he brought a calf roasted. (11:69) |
Falamma raa aydiyahum la tasilu ilayhi nakirahum waawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf inna orsilna ila qawmi loot(in) And when he saw that their hands did not touch it he mistrusted them, and conceived a fear of them. They said; do not fear; verily we are sent to the People of Lut-AS . (11:70) |
وَامْرَأَتُهُ قَآئِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا بِإِسْحَقَ وَمِن وَرَاء إِسْحَقَ يَعْقُوبَ Wa(i)mraatuhu qaimatun fadahikat fabashsharnaha biishaqa wamin warai ishaqa yaAAqoob(a) And his wife was standing by; she laughed. And We-SWT gave her the glad tidings of Ishaq, and after Ishaq, Y'aqub. (11:71) |
Qalat ya waylata aalidu waana AAajoozun wahatha baAAlee shaykhan inna hathalashayon AAajeeb(un) She said: O’ for me! Shall I bear a child when I am old? And this husband is advanced in years! A marvellous thing is this! (11:72) |
Qaloo ataAAjabeena min amri Allahi rahmatu Allahi wabarakatuhu AAalaykum ahla albayti innahu hameedun majeed(un) They said: marvel you at the decree of Allaah-SWT ? Mercy of Allah-SWT and His-SWT Blessings be upon you. O ‘People of the House, verily He-SWT is Praiseworthy, Glorious. (11:73) |
فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّوْعُ وَجَاءتْهُ الْبُشْرَى يُجَادِلُنَا فِي قَوْمِ لُوطٍ Falamma thahaba AAan ibraheema a(l)rrawAAu wajaathu albushra yujadiluna fee qawmi loot(in) Then when alarm had left Ibrahim-AS and the glad tidings had come home to him, he took to disputing with Us-SWT for the people of Lut-AS. (11:74) |
إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَحَلِيمٌ أَوَّاهٌ مُّنِيبٌ Inna ibraheema lahaleemun awwahun muneeb(un) Verily Ibrahim-AS was forbearing, long-suffering, penitent. (11:75) |
Ya ibraheemu aAArid AAan hatha innahu qad jaa amru rabbika wainnahumateehim AAathabun ghayru mardood(in) Ibrahim-AS! Leave off this; the Decree from your Rabb-SWT has already come, and verily upon them an approaching torment is unavoidable. (11:76) |
وَلَمَّا جَاءتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَـذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيبٌ Walamma jaat rusuluna lootan seea bihim wadaqa bihim tharAAan waqala hathayawmun AAaseeb(un) And when Our-SWT envoys came to Lut, he was distressed on their account, and he felt straitened for them, and he said: this is a day dreadful. (11:77) |
Wajaahu qawmuhu yuhraAAoona ilayhi wamin qablu kanoo yaAAmaloona a(l)ssayyiati qala ya qawmi haolai banatee hunna atharu lakum fa(i)ttaqoo Allaha walatukhzooni fee dayfee alaysa minkum rajulun rasheed(un) And his people came to him rushing on towards him, and they were likely to work voices before. He said: O’ my people! Here are my daughters: clean are they for you, so fear Allaah-SWT and do not disgrace me in the face of my guests; is there among you no man right-minded? (11:78) |
قَالُواْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِي بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ Qaloo laqad AAalimta ma lana fee banatika min haqqin wainnaka lataAAlamu manureed(u) They said: assuredly you know that we have no right to your daughters, and verily you know what we would have. (11:79) |
قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ Qala law anna lee bikum quwwatan aw awee ila ruknin shaded(in) He said would that I had strength against you or could betake me to a powerful support! (11:80) |
Qaloo ya lootu inna rusulu rabbika lan yasiloo ilayka faasri biahlika biqitAAin mina allayli wala yaltafit minkum ahadun illa imraataka innahu museebuha ma asabahum inna mawAAidahumu a(l)ssubhu alaysa a(l)ssubhu biqareeb(in) They said: O’ Lut-AS! Verily we are envoys of your Rabb-SWT; they shall by no means reach you. Go forth you with your household in a part of the night, and let none of you look back save your wife. Certainly what happens to them will happen to her also; this appointment is for the morning; is not morning near? (11:81) |
Falamma jaa amruna jaAAalna AAaliyaha safilaha waamtarna AAalayha hijaratan min sijjeelin mandood(in) Then when Our-SWT decree came to pass. We-SWT turned the upside thereof downward, and We-SWT rained thereon stones of baked clay, piled up. (11:82) |
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ وَمَا هِيَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ بِبَعِيدٍ Musawwamatan AAinda rabbika wama hiya mina a(l)ththalimeena bibaAAeed(in) Marked from before your Rabb-SWT . Nor are they from those wrongdoers far away. (11:83) |
